I was taking a road trip up to the bay area and during my drive, I encountered some vibration coming from the rear. After a while, I exited and pulled off the freeway and heard a strange noise coming from the back. There was some rattling that sounded like loose change and it seemed to be coming from the differential. Every time I accelerated I experienced the same problem, and at speeds, the vibration is certainly noticeable. I still have to get back to L.A. Does anybody know what this symptom sounds like?

Also, does anybody in the S.F. area know of any mechanics that are open today? I would like to take it in and possibly remedy the problem so I don't have to drive it like that all the way home.

 

I have the same,, take it to the workshop, i guess this has a recall from the munifacture,, its a problem in E class. mine has the same..
