Does anyone have an update on availability on the east coast of the wood and leather steering wheel as an accessory for those of us who took delivery while they had run out? Has anyone recently received one factory installed? If so, was it still on promotion at $500? Thanks, Jeff

I dont know about the east coast availability, but I dont think that this is a regional matter.

Although, I read this in bezworld from a guy in California.
After having two prior E classes this one is definitely a step up. I love this new car." I also had the burlwood steering wheel installed today which is a nice addition."

I too beleive that this is a regional matter. But I don't see why. And I dont beleive that local climate has something to do with it being made readily available.

FYI, I asked the CA dealer I am ordering from multiple times about the wood wheel being ordered from the factory at $500. He has said that should be no problem and has not mentioned anything about the limited or delayed availability like my Texas dealer was saying. So anyway we will see what happens, but it will be Feb before I get the car most likely.
