New E500 And Big Troubles
CAR - 2004 E500 AWD WAGON
I just bought this car. It sat for a week and the battery is toast. I won't get to it for at least 1 more week.
I was told not to boost the car.
What are my options when I return to the car?

Same thing happened to me. Called MB road assistance and the technician came to my house and replaced my battery. Fired up right away. Took it to my dealership for the BCM and regulator recall....no problem since.

call roadside...it's one of the many nice things you get with a Mercedes...for the life of your vehicle, they will come out and give you a jump or replace the battery...

"New" E500? How about used.
No offense, but if you think that a failed 4-yr old MB battery is "Big Troubles", I suggest that you get an extended warranty or find another marque.

If it is not a sealed battery, you can check the electrode levels and fill them up with distilled water, then disconnect the battery and recharge it with a battery charger. You can then drive yourself to the dealer to check the BCM/regulator.
