Help with part number

Dear all,

Can anyone advise the Mercedes part number for the rear AIRMATIC shock absorbers for a 2003 W211 E320 sedan? No need for the air springs.

Are there any other part like bushings or whatever that need to be replaced together with the shocks?

I heard that changing the rear shocks of an airmatic car is straightforward as in a regular suspension and does NOT require initialisation process needed when changing the front air struts.

Thanks,
Richard

Thanks Paul for the great help! For some reason, the local parts store said that there are 3 different types of shock absorber for this model?

Cheers,
Richard

The detali data does not cover latest parts. There actually are three different parts, A2113260100 has been used initially, then A2113262800 or A2113262400 if you have option code Z04 on your data card

I agree, but I guess having detali is better than nothing. At least the subsystem diagrams are nice to have while talking to the parts guy.

I don't think detali is "better than nothing", it is a lot more than that

I often use detali even if I could access the "real" on-line EPC. And I feel better referring to detali parts diagrams than posting printouts from MB documents.

For the parts guy it should not matter if one refers to an outdated part number, they should identify the correct part and a newer one if it exists.
