Does the new E has the one twist auto start feature?

Hi,

Does the 2003 E-class has the one touch auto start feature on the ignition switch? You know, the feature that you don't have to keep the key in the start position until the engine start, just one quick turn then the starter will crank until the engine starts.

Thanks!

Dlau

hmm, not really sure of what you are asking but....there is keylessgo, the one touch click on the shifter, but if you use a key, it is exactly like the old E's, and S's, not sure about C's. you can quickly turn right all the way, and you dont have to worry about the engine bogging down on you if you hold it for to long, i dont know if it made sense, but if it did, i hope i helps

Dlau,

Indeed, to start the engine, being an electronic key, you don't have to hold the key in the start position. Just flick it to start and release. This is one thing that my sales rep made a point to show me.

I believe all Mercedes now have this feature, do they not?
Certainly our ML and C32 do.

here bmms8, when you start the engine, you dont have to held the key in the "ignite" position until the engine start. You only need twist and release. Dnt have to wait the engine start.

I hope you understand

OOOOO, i just got it, even after you explained it i didnt get it, but your saying that you just twist and release, no need to hold it there until it starts.....yea it is pretty cool, same thing with keylessgo, foot on the brake, and a single tap, thats all it takes
