Try car-parts.com, they are hooked up to many salvage yards, you may be able to score one from a 2004+. Also google Auto Gator in Roseville, I have used them and they have decent prices.

Exerpt from a chat I just had at www.radiator.com, looks promising......

Chuck : There are a couple of different radiators, ranging in price between $99.00 and $299.00. All run about 1/3 what the dealer charges. Hold on ---

Chuck : I could sell this to you but the '03 Mercedes was a little tricky. Your best bet is speaking to Hank, our lead E500 technician (or one of his techs), he usually figures out the right radiator the first time.

Chuck : Thank you. We'll always be here whether you need a radiator or just free advice. You can call us if you prefer at 800-598-5504. Bye!

Hope this helps.

Konigstiger should have the recalls listed. Perhaps it wasn't a recall but a TSB. Check your car and serial. If it is from before 9/2003 something, and if it has a Valeo radiator, it probably would be one with the issues.

I just read a W203 owner (with the same issue) getting the radiator very cheap from the dealer, must have been a compensated price because of the known issue. Odd if it does not work in the USA.

You can't buy a warranty to fix something already broken. Looks like you got busted.

Save yourself any further hassle with this car and buy an OEM radiator, either from the dealer on a wholesale account or oempartsdirect.com for $739. If money is the problem, buy it on a CC, get the car fixed, sell the car, then buy a car that wont require finances out of budget.
