Dashboard lights (around the light switch) don't light up
I just noticed, a few days ago, that the various icons arranged around the light switch (on a 2008 E350 Sport) did not light up in the dark when the lights are turned on. (The switch itself does light up, just not the icons around it.) I pointed this out to my dealer, thinking that a bulb had burned out, and was told that icons are not illuminated and will not light up. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me as it makes it verfy difficult to make adjustments to the light configuration in the dark.
Would a couple of you E350 owners check out that light switch (lower dash to the left of the steering wheel) on your cars and tell me whether the dealer is giving me the streaigt dope?

No fault there, this seems odd and that is why it has been discussed quite many times.
You have the light indicator for front or rear fogs on, but the icons are not light.
It isn't W211 alone, the same with W221 (don't know others).
