bumper removal
seasonal greeting s fellw benzerscould any one tell me if they have any info on removing the rear bumper on a w211
i have recently purchased a brabus item and would be grateful for any help that you can give especially about disconnecting the parktronic sensors.

The REAR W211 Bumper is simple to remove..
Remove all the rear trunk panels..sides and floor
Remove the two rear mounting bolts
Remove the Side body to bumper bolts
If The W211 has parktronic
Remove the wire harness connection from the body to bumper
The Sensors are a snap in ...easy to remove
GOOD LUCK installing them on a Brabus Bumper..as the brabus Bumpers do NOT have the correct fittings on the bumper..seen several that were Hack installs via glue
Remove all the rear trunk panels..sides and floor

No Version code required for The Reinstall as long as NO codes were present before removal...also make sure the key is OFF when you unplug the wire harness for parktronic

Any ideas on the repair on this rear bumper trim on a 2006 E350. Found it damaged in a mall parking lot after a long day of shopping. Should I report to insurance or pay out of pocket. There are some minor chips and scuffs on the bumper and a bit on the trunk lid. This chrome trim is the main concern. Is this an expensive fix or complete bumper replacement. Thanks for any advice

On The 2006 W211 The Center Impact Insert on the Rear Bumper can be bought seperate.. Some of the Inserts can be ordered PREPAINTED...Then have the rear bumper repainted..I Would pay out of pocket to avoid the Bump on the insurance...
