Removing Engine Cover 2007 e320?

First let me say what a fantastic forum! I have found some great information here! Thanks!

I did a search on the forum this morning (and a Google search too) for tips on removing the engine cover for a w211 e320. Unfortunately I didn't find any applicable results. Can any of you guys provide some help? The cover seems to be attached at a few points, but I'm not quite ready to just try and yank it off.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Take the air intake hoses off first and then yank the cover up, its one big piece. It is held by pressure tabs to the engine. Don't be afraid to use a bit of force, but be careful.

Removing Engine Cover 2007 e320?

Thanks for the tip.

Actually, on closer look, it appears on the '07 (V6 engines) the engine cover is just held on with 3 rubber grommet-like points. I didn't need to air intake hoses off after all. The cover simply lifts off.

Thanks!

You are right; just pulls off. I do that frequently to clean the engine area with compressed air, like to see it shining new.
