Storing exterior rear view mirror parking position
I am following the exact steps as it states in the manual. I want to store my passenger side mirror to automatically go down when I put in reverse to parallel park. These are the steps I took:
Start the car
Press button 2 (passenger sude exterior rear view mirror)
Adjust the passenger side rear view mirror with the DOWN button
Press M (memory button)
Within 3 seconds, press the DOWN button again (mirror doesnt move so it should be stored)
But when I start my car and press button 2 (passenger-side exterior rear view mirror), then reverse in the gear, side mirror does not go down as previously stored. Any ideas?
thanks!

The feature was dropped on US Spec cars during the 2007 MY. If your car has it it will be an option you activate within your "settings" menu on the MFD.
MBUSA pretty much left the setting truned off and had the option deleted from being viewed when scrolling thru the settings menu. It doesn't save them any money, but I assume there are fewer complaints about it not working properly. Their goal was to eliminate complaints so they simplified the operation of the cars. The Germans are not known for intuitive electronics programming, so it got the hook.
