Do 08 E classes come with different wheel caps?

I got an 08 E350 with P2 package. I noticed that the wheel caps are different from the regular MB sign ones I've seen. Mine has blue and white writing "Mercedes Benz" around it. Is it an 07 or 08 difference or a P1/P2 difference?

This is the one I've seen. (not the one I have)

They changed the center cap for 2008. I have an 2007 so mine are as the picture you posted. Personally I prefer the 07 style

yah I agree, wonder why they did that. They 08 caps are ugly.

But what is weird is that the 08 e63 also have the 07 caps.

If I understand it correctly (and I might be wrong), there are two different caps and wheels alltogether. The wheels in the pic on the link have a different finish than the wheels on the 08 E350 with sport package.

I'm not an expert in wheel materials but I understand that the wheels in the E350 with sport package have the "high sheen" finish with the blue/white caps you guys mention above; and the wheels in the E550 have the same design but are finished in cast aluminum (or aloy maybe?) and have the MB star caps.

If you look at them from afar they look the sime, but once you get up close the ones of the pic in the link are much nicer.

If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me.

The 211 adopted the Royal Blue inserts from the CLS for MY08. When taking delivery you can request which insert you want, the dealership should oblige.
