Discount for ordered
I want to place an order for a E500 with a specific set of options - Silver/Ash, E3, Panoramic, Split Seats, Navi, Wood Wheel, CD Changer, HK. Has anyone had experiences with any dealers in CA who will take an order and provide a discount. Im seeing good deals and lots of inventory for what dealers have on the lots - but most don't want to discount if i place an order.
They have offered me discounts from a minimum of $1000 and I finally ordered at $3,000 off MSRP.
$3k off is pretty much invoice for an E500 and less than invoice (roughly) for an E320 - was there anything special about your deal and how did you approach the dealer? did you work with the internet sales manager? Do you have a friend at the delaership who got you that price?
Your advice is really appreciated!
Seriously, thats a ridiculously good discount, my dealer wouldn't touch that number.

Good for all you guys living in CA. In Northern VA/Washington, we are paying MSRP.

I worked with internet service manager and didn't have to negotiate all that hard. $3,000 below MSRP is not below invoice with options. With my options MSRP is $4300 over invoice, so dealer still made $1,300 + hold back.
Jeff
mco, can you send me an email at apurva_bhansali@softexinc.com with the name of the dealer? I am working with Claridge and am getting $2100 off, but if you got $3K off an ordered car, I want to take the dealership name to my guy and have him match it.
Thanks,
Jeff
jeffw, send me your email address.
Thanks for the info however the dealer Claridge did not want to offer the same discount. You must have caught them at the right time. Thanks again.
p.s. would it help if you asked them to contact me directly via email?
