Lost one of my 2 keys. I have keyless go. Can't find the part number...
I've lost one of my two keys. Since our car has keyless-go, is the key different from the standard key? Also, where can I find it in the catalog? I searched oempartsdirect.com, but I can't find the key. What should I expect to pay for it? Do I need to program it once I purchase it?
Any Help?

07 SL55 P30 Designo - Sold, 06 E55 Wagon, 04 CLK55A - sold
I just got quoted (from a dealer) $285.64 + $50 for the blade. They're quite a bit more expensive than non-keyless go. Don't know if it matters, but this quote was for an '06 e55S. If anyone knows where to find it cheaper, do tell!

you can't buy the key anywhere else except the dealership. you can't program the key plus they have to match it with its mechanical key. They will ask for your the car's VIN# and proof of ownership.

Heck... I was told its $130.00 for a key for my Daughters 2005 Suzuki Forenza (Sedan)... that key is a non chip key with the black plastic head housing the remote... so I guess the MB key isn't a complete overcharge deal... but it probably pays to check a couple of different dealers. They do compete with one another.
