Horn Loudness
Is the horn on the new E Class any louder than the previous models? I currently own a 2000 E Class and was scraped by another car on my front bumper in a parking lot. I was at a complete stop blaring my horn but the second driver was looking the other way and said she did not hear the horn. I asked the dealer if it was possible to get a louder horn and he said he had never heard of such a request before. Ever since that accident I have noticed the E Class horn (at least prior to 2003)seems weak compared to many other cars.
