Are the keys 2 batteries still good? Does your other key unlock the car? (Don't have them both in close proximity at the same time.) If it does work, I'd replace the weak batteries.

Both keys still work.
Will unlock, lock, open trunk.
Cannot use door lock button to lock car.
Cannot use door handle to unlock car.
Was working fine until about 2 weeks ago.
Suddenly will not work.

Does it happen anywhere? At work if I parked my car next to a particular car, my keyless go would not let me start my car using the gear lever button. Everywhere else it worked fine. The manual says any interference will prevent correct functioning of Keyless Go.

Worked everywhere before.
Does not work anywhere now.
Due for A service in about 3 weeks.
Guess I'll just have to get MB service to check it out.
I'm about 100 miles from the dealership.
Just didn't want to take it in, only to be told they had to order a part and have to take it back later.

sounds like a bad (exterior) sensor. I'd prepare the dealer for ordering the part, and then be sure they provide a loaner...my dealer will even send someone to get the car or bring to me (they're generally amenable to doing one way-i don't ask for both...i live 70 miles from my dealer, even though there are closer ones within 25 miles

Thanks for the advice.
I am planning to leave it for service anyway and already have a loaner lined up.
I'll quiz them regarding the sensor.
