rear window defog/deice

rear window defog/deice
With ice & Snow I notice the top 5 wires on my 05 CDI do not melt any ice or snow. I assume this is a defect & not just antenna wires? Anyone know? Also if this a defect is it warranty covered ?

I think those are the antenna wires.
