Navigation factory-only?

Do any of y'all know if I can add Navigation after I've taken delivery, or does it HAVE to be a factory option?

It can be added after delivery when available ( 1st quarter 03). If paid for in advance of sale it is $1625 otherwise $2125.

EDJ, you already have your car so I don't know if you can do it know ask your dealer. But for me, I have ordered the car and paid for the Navi up front (I get it for $1625 as the discounted price), and I will get the car without the Navi (it will be installed after february built cars). Then in Feb when it is available, I take the car into the service dept, and they will install it for free (i.e. no install labor costs).

Maybe your dealer can work something out, so you can also get it for the $1625 if you pay for it now.

It is also the case if you order the car and they build it before Navi is available.

My dealer told me on Wed that the way it will work is that you can just take your car into any MB service and if your car was built before the Nav was available, you pay $1625 to get it installed. However, I did not get the "warm and fuzzy" feeling that the dealer knew exactly what he was talking about.

Anybody else heard the same thing from the dealer, because previous posts and other info has always indicated that you needed to pay for the Navi up front?

You can only get the $1625 rate if you pay for the nav at the time of purchase. You can't get it afterwards. Also, it must be before the cars have the option available from the factory. Afterwards it is $2125 + labor.
