Hole worn in lower half of seat belt holder
My 05 CDI has a small hole worn in the covering of the pillar near the driver's seat. I will take it to the dealer and put it in as an extended warranty issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

If I understand your description, this is a small piece of fabric/felt that separates the seat cushion from the seat belt holder. In my 2003 E320, the fabric wore through and caused an annoying noise.
I had mine replaced by the dealer after unsuccessfully trying to find a substitute. I don't recall the cost of the repair since I am out of the warranty period.

Hole in side pillar
The hole that I am referencing is in the pillar that holds the seatbelt mechanism. As you leave the car, it looks like you rub against the side.( Unless you are nice and thin!). After time, it wears a hole in it. I negotiated with my dealer and he said the total cost of the replacement was $280, which we agreed to split 50-50. I am satisfied. Will bring it in next week.
