I've found a used MB in Edmonton on the net and wondering if there are any recommends as to a Mechanic who would be good candidate to vet this car for me,
History, Symptoms, just a good all over exam to give a condition report and recommend.
It's a 2005 so it would be someone in touch with the newer stuff
Any thoughts or hints would be appreciated.
I'd like to be confident enough to buy over the phone.
thanks very much. I would appreciate any thoughts or telephone #'s

Edmonton get's some pretty cold winters, meaning a lot of salt and gravel on the roads (I have about 15 cousins in Edmonton). I realize the car is only a couple of years old, but you never know how much it was driven during the winter. Just wanted to put that out there.

Other things:
Full service record.
Ask for an insurance company letter to say there was no claim on this car.
Check it out in a bodyshop after jacking the car up.
Do a preliminary visual check yourself. Sniff for new paint.
Are the door-trunk-hood gaps uniform?
