Arrow Heated steering wheel malfunction

DTB P-B-46.10/18b FEB08 - VIN range A219405 – A380430 if the heated steering wheel is not operating correctly i.e.: turning off at interior temperatures below 14 degrees F (-10 degrees C) the control module needs to be replaced (part # A0295452932). It should be noted that the steering wheel heater is automatically deactivated when the interior cabin temperature exceeds 86 degrees F (30 degrees C).

Re Heated steering wheel malfunction

If there is a DTB, does MB fix the problem if you are out of warranty ?

If your vehicle is within the VIN range mentioned there should not a problem in or out of warranty.
Normally DTBs are not honored out of warranty. However, in this case if your vehicle does not have part #A0295452932 an argument can be made for goodwill repair from MBUSA by way of the dealer. Reason being the original part installed in your vehicle at production has been modified to correct a known malfunction. The worst-case scenario you will receive a substantially discounted repair.
