E240 problems
The damnest thing happened the other day...MY E240 (27,000km on the clock) went silent. Litererilly the audio quit (CD,Telephone,tape, radio etc) So I go to the MB Dealer in town and he comes up with a list.After a lot of investigation including a computer charge (ie to connect his computer to my car) of $40. he comes up with a list.
1) Auxillary Battery - $300
2) New Audio Gateway - (still awaiting judgement)
Something else
The rear vent blows such hot air that you could rock a barbie back there
My eyes went all misty when he came up with the price after I just forked out $300 for a fuel pump. Yep $300.
Those us familiar with hard work....anyway I digress. I read in a thread that the Aux battery (I think a beechcraft one) cost $30, and the MB $120...fair enough I think.
I don't have any idea of the cost of the audio gateway, but good people my MB experience is being ruined by A (where I live) and by the most voracious and greedly dealers under the planet. So here, can anyone help.
I am new here, which is obvious I guess, and I need to buy
1) Auxillary Battery. E240- 03 W211
2) Audio gateway
3) Part # A2118320584 (which i gather is the valve to correct the rear barbie).
I guess I share the same planet with you. I am in Nigeria - Africa. I will pay for my goods to be shipped to me here if poss. Will be cheaper I reckon than the local heros. And yes I'll pay upfront.
