Tinting and Warranty
Hi, everyone.
I posted a month ago that my car was tinted and also asked about how to deal with air or water bubbles.
A week later, I opened windows and disaster happened. Films on all of four windows were being peeled off from the bottom. So I revisited the shop and aksed them to redo them or fix them.
Without admitting their clumsy job, they just fix some and redo one with additional charge, $20.
Fixing ... they just cut off the peeled portion
Anyway, now the driver side window is rattling ... I cannot but suspect their ****ing job caused this.
My question is whether window tinting makes warranty void. And do I have to go to the shop in order to remove the films on all of my windows? Or is there any place which can do it?
I am so streessed. If you are a Marylander and have a plan to get your window tinted, DO NOT go to "NATIONAL WINDOW TINTING" located in Kensington. They will ruin your car.

The window tint will not void your warranty but if you take it in for the rattle and they find it was caused by outside influence, it will not be covered.

Window tinting will not void the warranty. They should clean it off and completely redue the tint. I would have them tint the windows at the dealership, since it is through MB they will ensure you are happy. I get mine through MB and always negotiate with them. I hope this helps.
