At least we know the Stazi didn't leave with the DDR. (Re: US traffic laws and those that enforce them).

I wonder what model she was driving.

Oh wait...that was not important. She got what she deserved, she could have killed someone.

"Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a Highway Traffic Cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong.

It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the ******* chase you. He will follow."

This hot, vivacious young gal clearly got it. But, then again, she got it, alright.

She got on what she deserved. I blamed her parents more than she but on the contrary at 17 years old, she was way over her head by driving at that kind of speed. It could be worst! She could have involved in an accident and she might be killed or kill someone.

well in CA, its 1000 for hitting 100 plus 100.00 for every mile over and its 2pts (reckless driving automatically) but if she is 17 there not supposed to release her name in the media she is still a minor..

I wonder if the girl is going to put those 240 hours as community service when she applies to colleges...

But in all seriousness, why do you people mention that she is 17 and can't drive 100+ mph safely. I don't think that age matters that much when driving at that high of a velocity because a 30 year old does not have that much more experience in high speed driving versus a 17 year old. I probably share this perspective because I am young and a responsible driver or maybe I'm just surrounded by older people with fast cars who drive as erratically as a 17 year old.

I have to agree with JCsE350

Thank God no one was seriously injured. At that speed and mass she could have really done some serious damage. I'll bet her parents punish her by making her drive the family Ford.

At 17, you will never have an idea of what your car will do. 17 means you have been driving for about a year at most, she was prolly running all at adrenaline. The longer you drive, the better you know what speed means.

But for all of you saying she got what she deserved, you've all got to be kidding me. Have you's never went 120mph in your life? If you haven't, you need to get a life. 6 hours in jail and $2k is stupid and overboard. They should just take away her license till 21 and pay the regular fine.

I dont have any issue with her age. Its the speed .. actually the RELATIVE SPEED.

Imagine she's crusing along at 120mph, someone sees her in the rear view, figures, she's far enough away that I'll switch into her lane .. she might fly into the back of their car, or swerve and hit another car, etc.

If everyone was driving 100mph+ it would be a non-issue.

120mph? around 180-190km?

actually any MB car should be able to do that except smart or that stupid A or B class?

I can almost see any other American HOT DUMB CHICK!! (Paris Hilton)!!!

but.... why she drive that fast? Under what condition? Other than that, why don't she just floor the car, and run away??

BTW. what is the fine of running away from a highway cop?
