I guess i'm the only one that says no, but then again I realize have an 03 model, 02 build. I've had every problem one can imagine. Seriously. I am glad that you guys have had a great experience. However, when I talk to other E class owners at the dealership, they tell me that they have a lot of problems as well.
The Lexus LS 460 hybrid seems dependable and a good "value" relatively.

No. Late build 2003 with just about every problem mentioned on the forum -several multiple times - and them some. Poor reliably plus extremely poor responsiveness by MBUSA means I will not be back for any MB for any reason. Fool me once...

2013 E-350 4matic
Yes I would and I just did. I sold my W210 2001 and just picked up a 2008 E350 4matic. My W210 has 89K and very little issues. Nothing but regular maintenance and upgrades.

I would most certainly buy another E class. I have had a delightful experience with my 07 Bluetec which has performed flawlessly through 18,500 miles I put on it.

2008 Mercedes Benz E63 AMG, 2017 Porsche Macan S
I already did. Had an '07 E550, and traded up to an '08 E63. My E550 was so perfect, I liked everything about it. So when I test drove the E63, that was it! I could have my 'cake and eat it too'...

Hoping that the next car will be an SL
My 2005 E500 has 76,000+ miles. Still runs and looks like new. One of my wife's conditions for buying an SL will be to keep the E for a long, long time. Maybe even forever. No plans to replace the E anytime soon.

No.
I have owned my E320 for 4 years now and the number of mechanical/electrical issues this car has had is absurd.
- Both rear shock absorbers leaked - both units replaced
- power steering fluid hose connections leaked - o-rings replaced
- fuel tank sensor leaked - seal rings replaced
- cylinder ignition coil replaced
I have had the intermittant "hesitates to accelerate" problem and the "jerking when coming to a stop problem" which MB has tried to fix at least half a dozen times. The acceleration problem is largely gone after replacing all fuel injectors and a crankshaft sensor. The jerking problem still exists even though the ETC control module has been replaced.
I still think it is beautifully styled car inside and out, but the mechanical and electrical aspects of the car leave a lot to be desired - not what I was expecting from a “luxury” car maker.

A Big NO!!! My 2003 E500 is the least reliable car I've ever owned! I have about an inch file on it. I have had numerous electrical and mechanical issues with it. Worse, on top of that, the dealer, Millenium, which I bought from in NJ, and did the most service with is totally imcompetent. On many occasions I had to bring the car back at least twice to get it done right. They could not even do an alignment correctly for crying out loud!
Granted, the car runs smoothly and quietly when it's not in the shop. But I wll not go through that ordeal again for a 64K car.

I love my E63 and am looking forward to the release of the W212.
However, I'll definitely wait until the second or third model year of the W212...hopefully enough time to work out all of the bugs.

2011 E350 Sport 4Matic - P2 & Drivers Assist / 2010 C300 Sport 4Matic - P2 / 2013 Porsche Cayenne S
Absolutely. Granted I've only had my E since January but I'm very impressed with it. I loved my C and it was great but the E is just that one step better. I'd have to wait and see how the new E class will look. If it has that flat sea of plastic with that retarded excuse for a steering wheel like the new C (of the new SL for that matter) I will definitely stick with my 2008 E and not get the new model.

I'm with the rest of the crew, this is my second 'E' as dictated by my signature. The main reason I got an E was because my well kept Acura Legend was broken into 4 times, and the Champagne Legend before it was stolen and subsequently totalled. I had always heard about the inability to
steal a Mercedes, and was really impressed by the solid security of the car. But in this world I realize that,if they really want your ****,they're gonna get it .no matter what you do. Although there is a certain piece of mind knowing, you won't come outside after having a great night, and see your car ripped apart by someone looking to steal an Acura Legend......
So to go back to the original question: Would I buy another 'E'???
Answer: I already have !!!

Currently still on a 2003 and before that a 2001 240 so the answer is definitely! The 2003 has only malfunctioned twice and very little, if anything is wrong with it. Now everyone is holding their breath until the next incarnation comes out

2004 E500 4MATIC
Loving my '04 E500 4matic at 64K....Drives like a dream. Until MB comes out with a reason to upgrade (like a diesel 4matic), I plan on keeping it for a while.
