2005 E500 AMG SPORT, 2002 ML320 LOADED
Noob needs your help please!
Hi all! Have a 2005 E500 AMG Sport Pkg. I have the stock leather steering wheel and am hoping to upgrade to a sport leather (with the perforated leather and bumps/cutouts) like this: http://www.performanceproducts4benz....pg&w=500&h=500
When I called the store (performaceproducts) the guy told me that that wheel will not work on my car b/c it is a tiptronic. My question: Can I just fill the holes for the switches on the back of the steering wheel, or will that diminsh the effectiveness of the airbag? Has anyone else swapped out to a all leather "sport" type wheel ?? Please let me know your experience. Also if you know of any other places to source a wheel like this that will fit, please let me know!
