It is normal???

This afternoon before heading to diner with my family. I started the car, and sat in the car while waiting for the family coming out to the car. While the engine idling and the gear is in "Park", the engine vibration can be feel while I'm in the driver and passanger seat. Sometime come to a rough idling part the car shake more than other time. What's give??? It is normal?

I have asked the dealer to correct this problem before, they said they have flashed the engine. But today, I can feel more and more. I just had the car serviced like 1000 miles ago. Engine mount also was changed with the last service. Help...Should I head back to the dealership?

idle time

when your just starting the car up when its bellow 40C do not drive it hard.
it will vibrate as the car is heating up and the engine parts are expanding.
When they expand you will feel vibration and the engine will feel like a sense
of weakness.. Its called "let the car heat up".
If its bellow 75F and you drive it hard (3,000RPM+) your going to blow your gaskets because its too much pleasure. if you have a V6 you will feel it more
with a V8 you will feel more torque and it will sound raspy.

The whole warming up the engine I do understand because I used to right motorcycle. I had an 03 Yamaha R1. Everytime I'm out riding, I do a warm-up section before heading out riding. I do understand you have to warm the car up too...but I have drove it over 80 miles the 2 hours prior to that time. I'm pretty sure the car has been hot enough. Plus the temperture for that day was in the high 60F. I'm might not believe the dealer has changed the Engine mount like they have stated on the service paper.

I have read somewhere, please correct me if I'm wrong people who's living in the State of California. Only in Cali, MB dealership has to proved they done the work. I think it is a law there but not too sure.

Here is my reason for thinking like this, like I have mention I used to ride bike. Got hook up with a lot of friends from different car dealership during my riding days. From American to foreign car dealerships. One day I was hanging around one of the dealership which I'm not going to state their name. A customer came in to change the water pump on their car. The Service Manager handed the part to the mechanic that supposed to work on the car. As when the Service Manager walk away. That mechanic throw the brand new part in the trash and start to chat with us about our bikes and all. Some of the guys work their and many other dealership have said also "that event do happen very very often". That's nothing new to my friend.

I am not saying all dealership do that but as always, as I quoted "AS ALWAYS" in any work place. You'll find a black sheep of the bunch. I'm not too sure how to approach this situation of mine.

The same dealership has been working on mine car. On one of the service time, the bolt in my car was missing. And some of the other thing strange things also has happened to my car, in which I'm not going to mention it. I do think it's pity for a big name MB dealership to make those kind of mistake and it is a shame. Because it costed me so much to get my car serviced at their dealership. I expect to have the best as I should from a MB dealership.

I'm sorry didn't mean to get off topic...

I dont think the dealer would have not changed the motor mounts. I have the exact same issue with my 03 e500. The dealer changed the motor mounts @ 60K and still the shaking. I put over 40K miles (i have 98k now on it) and i just kept driving it as is. I will be doing the 100K tune up soon, and i hope by changing the spark plugs/wires, that it will help. Let us know if you ever get it fixed! .

Well, here is the fix for my engine shake. According to my SA, the rear transmission mount collapsed. They changed under warranty.
