Car at the Port!
Dealer called me today. Said my car is at the Port. He should have it in 48 hours. Can't wait.
E350 4Matic, Black on Black on Black (Black Bird's Eye Maple) LEATHER, Sirius, Sport Package, Ipod, Voice Recognition, Bluetooth, Sensors for backup, etc., Wood/Leather steering wheel, Nav, Premium Package II, 18" wheels, Pass through trunk, Keyless Go, and probably some other things.
He said there was only ONE (1) just like this that he could get his hands on, since many come with MBTEX, and not exactly this kind of equipment that I wanted. Who knows for sure?
I'm getting rid of a Lexus LS430 (2nd one). When I saw my wife try to get in my Garage after an ice storm here in Pa., I decided she needed all wheel drive, especially with the 2 Grandchildren in the back seat.
I checked on this forum, and everyone told me to go with this car. I'm looking forward to it.

That's good to hear...since there is a thread here on this forum that really isn't TOO Comlimentary to this series car. My wife does love the Lexus because it's so easy to drive and quiet. But she did test drive the 4Matic at the Dealer's and did indeed like it alot.
We did have a 320 4Matic about 6 years ago, and she did enjoy it. So, here we go again. It's primarily going to be driven by her, and me on longer trips. I love my 500 SL but that's another strory. Everytime I drive that car, I get a tremendous thrill....unexplainable. I'm really hoping that she enjoys the new 4matic experience again. I'm kind of confident that she will.

Good luck, but don't hold your breath. My salesman told me the same thing Even after the car was "released to carrier," it still took about 10 days for my car to make the 200 mile trip from the port to my dealer (see my post from last week about this).

Dealer kept his promise. My car arrived today "fresh from the Port" at the Dealer's. I saw it. It, of course, needs to be prepped. I'm picking it up on Friday morning.

Ok....got it today, and it was a beautiful day. Actually 83 degrees here in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Have to admit that I spent most of the day in the SL with the top down. But I'm really happy, as is my Wife, with the new E-350 4Matic. Now we have to learn proper voice commands for the Bluetooth. But learning new things are half the fun.
