Bluetooth ready?

Sorry folks. I'm sure that I saw a thread on this before but I couldn't find it...

How can I tell if my '05 E500 is pre-wired for Bluetooth? I think I remember someone saying that there is a plastic plate(?) in the armrest? Not sure though. In any case, I was hoping someone here might know off-hand. Thanks.

You should have a plastic square looking cover at the back of the arm rest. Remove the plastic cover, if there is a connector chances are ya got it. If not suck to be you. It's a great function. You could always get a garmin 400 series gps they come with hands free, it works just as well

Of course the Garmin mention has nothing to do with a telephone.

A lot of the newer sat-nav's have built in telephone bluetooth. Tuffy was probably just trying to help the OP out. My uncle had a TomTom that had built in BT. Just like the MB puck, it downloads your phone's phone book to the TomTom touch screen display.

OP? you could call your local MB service and say you are interested in BT puck. They could advise over the phone what to look for, or just stop by and let them look.
