As the title says..
Is a strut key needed to lower a 2005 e320? I just bought some H&R springs and called the local tuning shop. They said I needed to go to mercedes and buy a specific strut key that is made for my car before they will lower. Has anybody heard of this??

Use an impact gun while starting/stopping the gun several times. Usually this will loosen the bolt.
If the tuning shop doesn't have an impact gun (unlikely) you can make a special tool by grinding down a socket.

I have never heard of this tool for an E Class, only the C. Like i said its A LOT easier to simply use an impact gun. I have done it several times with the gun..
