2003 E500

Head Unit Removal

I have an 2003 E500 and want to replace the stereo. I started on it today and have no idea how to get the head unit out. Can anyone help me with this?

You can find multiple posts on how to remove the head unit but did you already consider the wiring. Are you planning to use an after market unit or some other MB head unit like COMAND?

Im using pioneer avic z2 hertz speakers and audison amps. I have looked all over and cant fine any posts on this subject.
