Radio interference

Anyone know what frequency the door opener (key) uses?

In downdown Toronto yesterday, near the CN tower, my door opener would not work - took forever to open and close the door, repeatedly. I know this to be an area of very high VHF and UHF intermoduation intereference, so I surmise this was simply radio interference (once out of the area it worked fine again).

Is it a VHF/UHF signal; anyone know?

Battery

Maybe a loose battery? That happened to my 1999 E320 4matic wagon when I first got it.

Good luck.

Don't know what the frequency is for the smart key. I can only suggest that next time it happens, the mechanical key can also open the door. If it works out of the area of interference, it will be difficult for the dealer to duplicate the problem.
