Question:

I was driving my 05 E500 yesterday here in chicago and had the wiper setting on the first notch. they worked great for a long time, coming on ever now and then, but as the rain subsided down to a few sprinkles it kept going at the same speed as the second setting..? no rain...even when I pulled into my garage, shut off the car, still, kept going same as second notch setting.

Any ideas? Windshield was completely clear.

You shut off the car and winshield was moving. It's a ghost!
Or you just click in the left lever for winshield once and it will go back to normal function.
