Where should I get my HID kit from?
alright guys my HID's went out. i kept hearing some weird noise from my ballast and then the bulb went out, so i want to get another one. the one i had didnt have the error codes but it did flicker constantly and that bothered the hell out of me. i was checking on ebay but cant decide on which one to get. can you guys help me choose one from the list i got here or reccommend some to me. btw the color temp i want is 6000k. and the most i want to spend is around 150.00 but all recommendations are welcome, thanks in advance.

I would buy the last one.. Customledlights... as they are in the US so you can talk to them and has it has a lifetime warranty.
Infact, you should call them up and make sure that the kit will work with your car, not flicker, and not cause an error code!
Actually, the flickering can be fixed with a 1000 mfd capacitor from radio shack.
The more expensive HID systems have the capacitor built in to the igniter. I have used the more expensive one ($150 + $30 shipping) in my E320W without a problem.
Hope that helps you!

i found this one for 200 with a 1 year warranty and they are in the US. i think im going to try this one out if they respond to my email about the capactior in the ignitor. if they do have that then ima get this one.

Not sure on quality, but if I were going for the HID kit, I would get a 5000K one, which is closer to the (I believe) OEM 4500K kit. Anything higher will look too blue in my opinion.
Let us know which kit you end up with and how you like the quality.
Cheers

You should "get your HIDs" by buying complete HID headlights from your dealer.

Upgrade the Projectors?
I'm doing some research on this now and it seems that if we upgrade to the HID kit for our halogen projector lights that they will blind people on the street due to cut off beam patterns. I know that b_rashed (what up big homey) upgraded to the 07 headlights but for the rest of us do we need to do this as well???
WOW
Doing more research and I see this...
D2R bulbs are for vehicles with reflector headlight.
With these D2R bulbs, you will not blind the incoming traffic.
D2S bulbs are for vehicles with projector headlight.
OK SO DO WE HAVE PROJECTOR LIGHTS OR REFLECTOR??? It really looks like I have projector but I have the H7 (halogen) bulbs.

and just slide an HID kit into their halogen projector and they're concerned only
with the price, color and error msg possibility....and dont give a rat's *** to the
glare which results due to the mismatch focal points of halogen vs HID bulb.
unfortunately, given the wide manuf tolerances of aftermarket bulbs, it's
difficult to determine how well the bulb will match up with your particular halogen
projector. the vast majority of such HID kits produce uncontrollable glare.
i bought my kit from there, still waiting delivery. I'm sure you need the flicker ballast too. I have ordered that. It's separate.

alright so i bought the hid anti flicker capactors from stealth-auto, it came out to 43.30 after tax and free shipping. so i think im just going to get a cheap hid kit from ebay or if i can just get another ballast. i only need one and im not sure where i can get it from.

ps: I found this lighting picture guide on this website, therefore, I would like to share it with everyone.
Because your car comes with the proper lens, an aftermarket kit would perform just fine. The lens is the main problem. Ive seen a whole bunch of HID conversions on Supras, and they commonly use projector lenses from Acura TSX or Honda S2000, and they work great. It prevents the bad glare the cut off like a normal headlight would.
But I would personally goto the dealer, just because you will get a matching replacement, and thats always the best idea.
