07/08 Tail Lights Bulb Replacement HELP

Hey, I just bought the 08 tail lights for our car and I see that the lights are attached to a huge plastic pad??? I can't remove any of the bulbs and I was hoping to change out the amber turn sigs to LED's or clear or anything else but the damn amber. I know, I know it's illegal but I still want clear rear turn sigs.

HAS ANYONE CHANGED THESE OUT? or know how to do this. Thanks for any help!

That's what I thought! BUT has anyone broke off one of these and tried to clear them out? since the turn signal portion is so large on these it would look great to swap in some LEDs or even just the clear bulbs like the top brake light part.

the bulb is filled with some mix of xenon gas and is under intense pressure from my understanding. I would get over it ASAP and move on since when your driving you dont see the taillights anyways.
