Scam alert in the E55 forum !

If you haven't seen this thread yet, it's a must read. It's now become a sticky : Click here

It was started 5/16 and is up to 26 pages, ~1300 replies and 60,500+ views

Edit : In less than 12hrs it's up to 34 pages, ~1670 replies and 97,600+ views. Yikes !

Just for a comparison and to put this in perspective, @ 10.45a.m. there are a total of 38 (11 members, 27 guests) viewing the entire W211 Forum.

At this same time, there are total of 652 (71 members, 581 guests) viewing just the scam Thread, in the E55 forum

I just had to join in and offer up two cents worth of advice/suggestion. If anyone actually did get a cellular telephone number from this moron during the execution of a crime, the FCC also has a connection into the legal system regarding interstate commerce and utilizing a cell phone for fradulant purposes. I don't remember the specifics, but if you're talking about dousing this individual with everything you can think up, and anyone's contacted a State's Attorney General, they should take a look at the FCC rulings and how they connect back to an FBI division regarding illegal interstate commerce.

I'll try and look this up tomorrow at work, but the FCC library is HUGE, and I don't know if there are soft copies available yet as most of these rulings are less than 5 years old (and we all know how long it takes the fed govmnt to move from paper to softcopy...).

Anyway, completely and totally engaging thread - if you don't mind I'd like to send members of all the sites I'm hosting over for a look-see. You guys are really doing a hell of a job!!!

I just spent 2 hours reading the whole thing, seems that crook is getting what is coming to him... truly amazing work by all the members of this forum. Most important is the bonding and help that comes out from complete strangers (in most cases). Scammers: Internet fraud is NOT anonymous anymore.

This information and I mean personal information such as photos, SSN and date of birth is enough to catch him. I hope f*cker learned a lesson. I hope he's reading all this, he should of thought twice posting scams but now he'll pay the price.
