W211 Comand Downgrade software

W211 Comand Downgrade software
Hi all,
I have on my E-Class the comand NTG1 from Europe.
I have upgrade my comand to 15-04 software for the dvd in motion and all is works.
For your information, after this release, it's impossible to going to the engineering menu.
My brother bought a E-class like me (Europe) with the comand but with the last release software for the comand.
He would like the DVD in motion but the special menu doesn't appear because the old code doesn't works on the last release software.
Somebody knows how to DOWNGRADE a comand because i have still the 15-04 software ?

There are people claiming to being able to downgrade the firmware on a COMAND, however as the other poster noted, others report of it "bricking" their COMANDs and rendering them useless. If you do it, keep in mind you stand a really high chance of ruining it.

I've also seen a previous post about a successful downgrade but it may just be another opinion.

I asked to a guy in Mercedes repair area but the guy tell me that the Star Diag doesn't communicate with the Comand.

What I have gathered from reading about them is that the software expires and needs to be updated every month or so, and I assume the China junk that is on eBay is probably hacked not to expire... and no telling what else...

With an updated SDS, MB has taken the option away to enable video in motion. They also took away the option to turn off the annoying seat belt chime......
I have seen tools you can buy online (search google "video in motion command"), but they are not cheap enough to purchase for a one time use, priced right if you have a audio shop and charge customers to unlock (these tools work for MB, BMW.....)

Press and release these buttons: 1. SERV (and release) 2.SYSTEM (and release) 3. LANG (and release), and then press End Call + Audio + Upper left diagonal button ( \ near the OK button), hold until a engeneering menu appears.

Yes! Ok I know. But I do not have access to the following menu .. where I could change motion video and mp3. I'd like to downgrade to 15/04 ... but can not find the CD! I looked in all the garage but no sign of him.
