I ran my VIN through the Russia MB VIN decoder site but I've got a few that came back as blank or unknown:

668 - blank
U36 - unknown
232 - unknown
384 - unknown
413 - unknown
489 - unknown
521 - unknown
674 - unknown

Any gurus on the board that can help me identify these codes?

thank you! Do you happen to know what the keyless go and upgraded sound system codes are?

My option codes are stated below.

When I purchased the car a week ago I was told it came with the upgraded sound system (Harmon Kardon) and keyless go. From the looks of it, it seems the only "extra" on top of the basic package was the pano roof and possible the stereo? Is option 810 the standard or upgraded stereo? What is option 521?

Looks like 810 is HK Sound..?

U36 is prewired for COMMAND...

Yes, MB documents usually talk about Sound System, it can be Bose Audio or HK Sound or anything similar depending on the actual model.

I believe I have seen the U36 code before but did not find it from the sources I use, thanks for that.

I believe 810 is an old code that basically means upgraded/premium sound.

What do you mean by "old". It is the code for the current Harman Kardon Logic7 sound system on the current W211.

Or did you mean it has been a long time an option code for premium sound system and then an old code? That is true. But so are many other codes.

If you have a soft key selection of Surround Sound as well as voice and music or whatever, you have the best HK sound system they offer.

If it were the cheaper system there would be no choice of surround.
