Request for advice about a repair
I was one of the first to purchase the new E500 in 2003. I guess you would say I learned my lesson on buying a first year model. At one point I didn’t need to wash my car. It was in the shop so much, they did if for free. 
My biggest issue that hasn’t been resolved is a whine that comes from the rear differential. It happens between 70 and 80 mph. The dealership replaced it and the new one (factory rebuilt) still whines. Now they say they have done all they can and that this noise is common for that year and model so live with it. E.g. the car sucks, buy Lexus next time. My service rep is great and they are working with me but I’m stuck. Any advice?
