New Member to W211 forum/Couple exhaust fitment questions...
Hey guys, the W211 I'm getting won't have the sports package. I am planning on doing the AMG conversion but I would like to make sure that the OEM 55 exhaust will directly bolt up to the existing exhaust system. Has anybody done the conversion on a non-sport packaged W211? I need details please! I already have the 55 exhaust from my W215 AMG so I'm pretty much set to go if it will work. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Also, are there more o2 sensors for the 55 exhaust? Is that an issue when installing?

If you search on the forums several have done this conversion
Most cut the pipes before the muffler and weld them on. I dont think I've ever seen someone bolt on a 55 exhaust. Are you going to use the exhaust off of your CL?

yes I want to bolt on my AMG exhaust, I can't weld because this is a lease. Is there any problems or differences with the 02 sensors that you know about? I feel like that would be the only issue. Has anybody actually mounted a FULL E55 or other 55 exhaust to this car? I don't want to cut my stock exhaust apart at all and expect to be able to put it back on the the W215 if need be. Is this do-able? I've seen the other posts from those who have done AMG conversions but I haven't been able to find the answers to my exact questions so I posted this thread. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
