08 AMG FRONT END CONVERSION

Took some quick pics, it's about to rain but here you go.

Upgraded the front end to the 08 AMG , Im not a big fan of the E63 bumper with the vents on the side, I like the cleaner look so I went with the plain AMG bumper.

Rear E55 bumper, side skirts and exhaust, lip spoiler.
The wheels were originally all chrome, I took them apart and brushed the center and wrapped them in some new Vredestein Ultra tires

Thanks, I figured everyone's gonna do the E63 upgrade so I went with the regular AMG conversion.

Very nice! I'm also not a fan of the E63 front bumper side vents. I just picked up a 55AMG front bumper. But I am doing the E63 rear bumper

Interesting that you didn't paint the rear diffuser black like the E55's have. Different.

Looks great! A lot of conversions going on lately! Personally, I like the vents...to me just gives it a more aggressive look.

What kind of wheels are those?

RE: Bumper Upgrades

Looks nice!

The "plain" AMG bumper is very tasteful in your car's color, ditto for painting the entire rear bumper body color.

My mirrors are power/folding and I'd like to keep them. And there's not enough difference in the trunk to warrant a change for me. It could be in the cards later though.

Yeah I feel the same way about the trunk and mirrors. It's not that big of a difference that I need to change it right away, I rather spend the money on front and rear diffusers.

I'm with Clatyon and Unclebenz - the kit makes the most visual impact for the money. The trunk/mirrors are pretty subtle changes that might come when the money comes back again

UncleBenz - when does your CF rear diffuser come in?
What else are you doing to your front end?

I had the a wheel shop take apart the rims for me and sandblast the chrome off. Then I had them sent out to get brushed then powder coated. Take your rims to any reputable shop and they'll know what to do unless your planning on doing it your self, I would call your wheel company and have them give you the specs, what wheels do you have?

Are you looking at the Vorsteiner rear diffuser?
I'm not aware of one for the front. I just thought you had found one since you mentioned that you'd rather spend money on a front and rear diffuser
