2006 E500 Mileage
Just bought a used E500 w/ 17,700 miles on it.
Built 3/06, in service 6/06.
The original owner never reset the After Reset MPG meter!
About 721 hours averaging just over 24mph.
16.9 mpg average over the distance.
I got 25.1 on my way to work this morning, 29 miles, mostly freeway, 5 minutes of light traffic. 70mph or so.
Just passing the info along.

-I find the comfort suspension mode a bit soft. (maybe 10% stiffer would feel less floaty).
-The nav is going to take some getting used to.
-The center armrest could have a pad on it, not super comfy.
Other than that, no complaints. Overall, I really like the car so far.

I like everything about it so far except....

These are the exact same things, albiet minor, that I dislike. Tho' over all I love the car. My default mode is sport suspension so it is a bit stiffer. Nav is terrible compared to others, but once you figure it out it does get you where you want to go. I would love to hear if anyone has come up with a great solution for the armrest. Other than a little ugly pillow or something I am not sure what to do.

How do you get it to default to sport 1 mode?
When you say the nav is terrible...is that compared to other MBZ nav units? I liked the one on the LS430, but the car was too much $$$

The nav is poor compared to other non-MB cars...not sure about other MBs, as this is my first one.
As for the pillow, just stay away from the pink feathery fringe for the visors.
