Question about Tire Size on E350
Hello,
I recently purchased a 2006 E350 with the Avant Garde package which includes 18 inch rims. Below is a picture of the rims (not my car though).
Regarding the tires, the front are 245/40/R18 and the rear are 265/35/R18. I was wondering if I could simply have the 245/40/R18 all around. The car is mainly driven by my wife and she doesnt really need performance tires.
Let me know what you guys suggest.

Except likely that her rear wheels are wider to fit the 265/35/18, ie. staggered wheel widths setup with 8-8.5" (fronts) and 9-9.5" (rears). So it wouldn't be good to squeeze on a narrower tire (245) on the rears that maybe 9-9.5" wide. It'll also look very different in appearance 245 all around with rears being 9-9.5" wide.

those are the sport wheels here in the states... I have them on my E class... they are staggered wheels, and the front wheels are a little taller but the back tires are a little meatier
