Swap out alarm LED

Hey everyone (finally made member status). Has anyone out there swapped out the alarm's red LED for a blue one? Want to try it out, but first wanted to see if anyone out there had done it (idk why I have a thing for blue or blueish colors such as turquoise).

No experience in doing this, but you made me walk outside and check where the LED is located.
I never noticed it before.

Exactly my point, it's barely noticable. An LED, in alarm terminology, is supposed to be a deterant a.k.a. noticable to "deter" people from messing with your car. The CL500's is a lot more noticable, but I don't know about those built after 2002 since the buttons were changed.

Does anyone know how many volts it runs off, 3 or 12? I have the LED's so I guess it's just a matter of getting back there. I want to put a super-bright blue one just to make it more noticeable.
