I im from europe and i have a Mercedes E240 and im thinking of trading it for a brand new C200 Kompressor. Can anyone give me a helping hand and what difference ill have in power between one car and the other. Is it worth the change? or would you recommend anything else?
How does a w211 e class compare in quality and drivability with the w204 Class.

Power = 5kw difference. No real difference in speed.
Much greater fuel economy.
Few exterior (body shape) and interior changes (cosmetic things such as thermostat).

 

Experienced in driving both vehicles that you are talking about, I would say if it is comfort you want, the E-class is in a whole different league on that field, far more comfortable to drive. If its sportyness you want, the C200k handles and moves with a bit more agility.

My 2 cents.

 

The W211 is a great car, I would never go to a C from this generation E class. If you want to get better fuel economy, get an E300 Bluetec or E320CDI. An E420 CDI would probably get the same or better fuel economy as your car.

The E220 is extremely fuel friendly.
