E500 instrument Cluster
I just imported an E500 from US to Canada and I need to get the speedometer converted from Miles to kms. Dealer is asking about $3000 to do this.
Do you have any ideas?
Are there just face plates available that I can change instead of having to change the whole instrument cluster?

Is this what YOU want to do, or you are being asked to do?
I believe the car does display KM/h using (methinks) in the center of the MPH gauge, which makes the car legal in Canada.
Also, how did you find the process of importing overall?
I'm going to be doing the same shortly, and welcome any feedback.

Why not buy a CLS63 cluster, Steve is selling at less than $1000 installed. I'm afraid these display miles, perhaps he would have these or ordinary clusters at a more competitive price.
