Program Menu-Teleaid
I recently upgraded the Comand on my E and just installed the puck with tail. From other posts it seems that I need to have the phone option on the teleaid menu switched to on.
I have discovered that the 5-3-7 trick works on my comand, can I use this to access the correct menu; without messing up my DVD in motion... you would see a grown man cry!
I only seem to get 2 screens 'model' and 'keypad'; both show W211-ECE selected.

I would suggest you to get rid of video in motion, I mean updating Comand to the latest SW. You would get rid of a few bugs and if you really need VIM, buy an external device that allows it.

Does this mean that I can't have video in motion and a properly functioning puck with tail hookup?

But you say you have a Euro Comand, is that compatible with the Tele-Aid system? The puck-with-tail should use the Tele-Aid features but perhaps it works with any Comand.

Have you heard about the teleaid not working with the euro comand? And if I go to the dealer do you know what changes I should tell them to make... they were clueless when I was there on Friday?

Ok, went to dealer(MB Silverspring-Herb Gordon), shop foreman walked out with his star diag., and in 5 minutes phone was working.
I have a Nextel Blackberry so the car won't download my phonebook but calls work fine and I can save contacts directly into the comand phonebook.

Has anyone tried deleting contacts in the phonebook from the command screen?
I tried deleting it by using the delete softkey, but the contact still exists.

I bought it from the dealer $450, you can get them on ebay for about $400 but if you buy it from the dealer you might be able to covince them to install/"test" it for you gratis.
Plus if your teleaid phone option is not on you'll still need to go.
