Fair Price for E350 4Matic
As the title asays I'm trying to figure out a fair price for a 2006 E350 4 matic.
Mileage is 30-40k, nav, designo color.
very clean. Clean carfax and no tell-tale body damage.
I did notice a wobble coming from rear end not sure if it was unbalanced tire or not ?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Just bought a 2006 E-350 4Matics with 49500 miles at $23800. I thought I got the vehicle at a basement bargain price. The car has nav, pano roof, harmon kardon stereo, 6 cds, upgraded wheels, etc etc. No sign of accident, but a few minor mechanical issues which I was able to have the dealer take care of under warranty.
To top it all off, to my usrprise, the MB dealer I visited a week ago told me that the vehicle is a CPO unit under the previous owner's name (100K with additional one year of warranty), so I transferred the ownership to my name (at no cost) and now I have the car under warranty til 11/2010 - I couldn't be happier.
If you can beat this, I'll be impressed.

Are you basing that figure on a particular region. I'm in the midwest and have noticed that the prices here are always a few thousand higher than NY or Cali.
Would you consider that fair to the dealer as well? Just want to be sure.
Dealer was standing firm at $29.8k. I tried for $27k but had to walk.

Volvo dealer, No CPO
They said that they sent it to the big MB dealer in town for a complete service when they got it. Bought it on auction. Clean Carfax for whatever that's worth.

No. Don't pay that much for non-CPO. If you guys are paying a bit more out there, then that price could be fair if it's a CPO car.
For $29K you should be able to get at least a Sport Package with 30-40K Miles and a CPO on it if you shop around, even where you're at IMO.
Tell that Dealer to screw themseleves with that Auction car and you'll be back in a month when they mark it down a couple grand

Anyway they initially had the car priced at $34.9k and they reduced it to $29.8k. The salesperson was really trying to get me to buy into that price as a good value but I was not sure. Now I'm glad I asked.

No doubt. I wanted the wife to see it before I pulled the trigger and they didn't even want me to put a hold on the car . That struck me as odd.

Yeah exactly, it'd better be loaded the F up for that price without CPO. Fortunately for interested buyers, the market is super soft on these....I mean, getting practically brand new cars in the $20's that were in the $60's a couple of years ago is astounding. At least you know when you buy it now, it's already took its largest depreciation hit.

Chicago FTW?
I emailed a few dealers in CHI and they are getting me closer to $25k
So far
Blue $26.3 42kmiles - base no nav -
Sillver $25.9 38k miles - base no nav - the Russian VIN check says its an 05
Both were delivered in early 05 (again by the Russian site). Would you be concerned?

Hey can you give me a Link to that free Russian Vin Check thing pleaase??!! I used it on my S500 a while ago but can't seem to find the Website now.
Those Prices are getting alot more up to speed, are those CPO'd cars? I dunno what to say about the '05 thing, it's normal that it could have been delivered in '05, maybe even early '05 (?), but if the Title says '06, then you've got an '06 as far as I'm concerned

Take it to a local MB dealership and have a full inspection done. Not some mom and pop shop or where the seller says you should go. Take it to a MB dealer and have them do a full inspection on the car good luck and hope everything checks out ok and if not there are a million e classes out there

Hey thx I'm letting the dealers simmer a bit. When I offered $25.5k on the 42k mile car the dealer in Chi balked. When I told him I found a car in Ohio for the same price at 28k miles he all of a sudden started dancing. Called me two days later and offered $25.9k. Told him I wasn't sure. - In my mind maybe the market is not soft enough to get to $25k on a decent mileage e350 4 matic. I may have to wait a month

Yeah I paid $28K for mine and it was marked at $34.9K. It has the AMG package and loaded up so that gave them some leverage as it's a rare package for pre-07's. It was $62K brand new. It has 30K Miles and is CPO'd, although I paid an extra $1,500 for the extra 2 years (it was listed at $3K but I worked them down).
I'd assume my same car without the AMG Package should be at least a couple/few grand cheaper since there are a TON of them to choose from, at least here in L.A.
It's funny because there was a white one with the exact same package I was looking at at another Dealer before I bought my car, I was in love with it but it had 57K Miles, and they had it up for $29.9K, I got them to $26 but they wouldn't budge under it. With that many miles that car is really a worthless buy (it'll be at 100K before you know it and good luck getting any $$ for it, can you say "upside down"). It's 2 months later and those idiots marked it down some more and still haven't sold it.

Have you tried the CPO vehicle search on MBUSA? I just went to look out of curiousity, and there is a great selection around you. MB of Hoffman estates has a very nice 2005 E500 4M asking 34 with 23k miles. Loeber MB also had a nice E500 4M.

Yeah I've been looking there as well. Hoffman Estates E350 4m is $29k.
Others are similarly priced. I thought you said $25k max for these. Maybe I need to hone my negotiation skills? I want to stay in 2006, sub 40k miles, E350 the 500 is nice but gas would kill me. My wife still drives the ML320 and it drinks gas like I drink water. .....mmmm thirsty......

I know it sounds impossible, but the 500 will use the same or possibly less fuel than the 350, just search the W211 forum. Also, they tend to be much better equipped and drive so well.
