Do you hear a click when you close the trunk?

I hear a click when I close the trunk. It sounds like something snapping into place. Is that normal or do you think something is misaligned? I have the electronic closer and don't remember that sound before. It comes and go but I can get it to make the sound even when pulling the trunk lid manually. I usually don't close it manually. I just did it to see if I can reproduce the noise.

The area where the lid arms go into is enclosed so I cannot see anything obvious. I did not want to pursue it more if it was a normal thing.

Thanks for any feedback.

my S with the auto trunk closer makes the clicking sound. Sounds just like it latches.

Try looking at where the hinges go into the trunk panelling. There is a black plastic trim that goes around the hole. Sometimes they can pop off and hang inside. This will make a clicking noise as it rubs.

If it did indeed fall though, just pull it out ans snap it back into place.

Is the noise on the way down? Mine makes the noise in the first 1/3 of travel.

I'll check that. Thanks.
