Weird tire pressure message

Weird tire pressure message
I have an 08 E350 and about 12,200 miles. I'm due for my first oil change at 13k miles. Yesterday, there I got a message when I turned of my car "check tire pressure" So I think its probably a flat tire due to a nail because tires don't just lose air. But I checked today, and the tires don't look flat and when I start and turn off my car, the message is gone. Has this ever happened to anyone before?
Also, how do we check if we have run-flat tires (18 inch sport package)?
thanks!

I had the same thing happen last week (and I only have 8500 miles). I also have the sport package with 18" wheels. I don't think we have run-flat tires but I have had people tell me I have a flat tire because they aren't used to seeing the low profile tires. I have the Continental ContiProContact tires.
1. Read the manual (beginning on p. 296).
2. Get a tire gauge and check the pressure in all 4 tires.
3. Adjust pressure until it reaches the recommended pressure on the gas filler door or the front driver's door post.
4. Then reset the monitor. (It's in the manual).
5. Be prepared for the "STFM" posts.
Tires can and do lose pressure over time.
Hope this helps.
