What, if anything, can be done with a set of chrome wheels as far as changing the finish? I was considering a set of chrome wheels in a style I like but I just can't stand chrome wheels (sorry guys) Can chrome be stripped off a wheel to be repainted? Can I paint ontop of the chrome? Can I sand the wheel? I really have no clue but would like some input if anybody is knowledgeable in this dept. I would much appreciate. Thank you.

Of course. You can actually have the wheels refinished to original MB finish if you want. My dealer quoted me 400 for my set, stripped, polished, paint and clear coat back to factory spec.

i think the only thing you can do (without stripping the chrome) is powdercoating. but that 400 sounds like a good deal. maybe even cheaper than powdercoating?
